Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker

I remember Ryan playing me a few tracks in his bedroom just before we left to do the photo session. I'd always liked Whiskeytown, but this, this was something even better. More personal, more honest, more stripped to the core. The session itself was intense, and one of the most satisfying times I've ever had with a camera. When I think about that day, I think of what joy it is to work with an artist who enjoys bouncing ideas back and forth during a session - the best way to shoot.
